Echoes of the Early Universe in Sound

My track “CMB” takes its name from the cosmic microwave background, the faint radiation left over from the early universe. The track merges melodic synths, chillhop-inpsired percussion, ethereal vocals and sweeping noise risers to create a rich, atmospheric sound.

The track’s theme is inspired by the cosmic microwave background (CMB) which is the faint afterglow of the theorized Big Bang event. The CMB phenomenon was discovered іn 1965 by Arno Penzias and Robert Wilson at Bell Labs who were working with a very sensitive radio antenna which detected a persistent background noise they couldn’t explain at the time. Traces оf the CMB have also long been unknowingly present іn the static оf analog television signals.

The album art of my track is a CRT screen displaying a dreamy scene of cosmic undulations and symbolizes the intersection оf the early universe and human technological progress. How the echoes оf the ancient cosmos quietly entered our homes.

As the track progresses, the ever-present white noise which represents the raw, primordial radiation of the CMB transitions into soft rain, reflecting the universe’s evolution from chaotic energy into complexity and beauty.
